I'm using a 21.5 Acer. It's cheap but it works. No dead pixels and no problems with connections or anything. For a budget monitor it's fine.

The ACR is a brilliant gun for medium/long range. It needs Stopping Power; you don't have a choice about that. But it's easily overrun at close range by LMGs and SMGs. And some LMGs are better over long distance if you single shot them.

I don't understand why a Mercedes winning the championship will sell them more cars. Mercs aren't exactly your 'everyman' kind of car, and I guess *most* of the F1 fans are your 'everyman' kind of person, ie not buying £40000 cars every year.

What I'm saying is, if Merc won the championship, I wouldn't feel any more or less inclined to buy one of their cars. Same with Ferrari etc. Because I'm pretty sure very little from the F1 car translates into their current road models. The brand awareness for these guys is huge anyway, they could pull out of F1 today and people would still know who they were. Yes, I know it might affect future cars with KERS and that stuff, but that doesn't particularly bother me either.

I prestiged because I was getting stuck in a rut. I was pretty much exclusively using the TAR with Holographic sights, Scavenger Pro, Stopping Power Pro and Steady aim. So I prestiged and focussed my attention on the LMGs. Now I'm pretty much exclusively using the AUG HBAR with Grip and Silencer, with Stopping Power and Ninja Pro. And when I prestige again, I'll find another weapon and get obsessed with that!

Oh, I'm at the same rank as adamlfs because I didn't prestige for 2 weeks. I was a little concerned....

I have double the playtime of adamlfs yet a similar amount of kills and the same rank. Deaths are slightly different though



Haven't changed my callsign in a while; I really like the one I have now!

Oh btw, if any of you are interested in how you made my video, here's some screenshots of what I did in Vegas:

1 - Showing the 'Green screen' ground in LFS viewer; this allowed me to capture the shadows and moving sky.

2 - Showing the normal car, allowing me to capture the reflections acting on the car (the green screen version had green reflections on the car).

3 - The dragstrip with the car shape cut out.

I really like this 5 seconds idea. Like Squid said, maybe we can make this a regular thing with themes etc... But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

It's not at all close to perfect but it's the first time I've used masks and green screens in Vegas to a standard I'm reasonably happy with.

Working on something a little different (it's 5 seconds, my vids usually last 17 months, so it has to be different!) for this. It's an excersise in green-screening; we'll put it like that.

I'm doing my Ford Mondeo passenger experience next year. Gonna be ace!

I'll book those dates in my diary. Guys, start training now so we don't have yet more gigantic crashes.

My mum doesn't like buying stuff for me. Not because she hates to give, but because I always end up buying stuff myself without her knowing. Especially since I'm at university, she has no idea what I've been buying. So she has to ask permission to get me a present to make sure I haven't already got it. So instead, she's paying for the monitor I bought a couple of months ago. I also got (as I do every year) the 2009 BTCC review DVD.

I can't really ask for anything else since my family is helping out a lot with my university funding (although I have to pay my mum 1500 quid back next week).

My favourite part of the day has always been the food. Nomnomnom! It's turkeytime!

Each time this has been brought up, a noobs spokesperson has politely said 'nooooooooo'. But maybe this time will be different?

Fair enough. I did expect it to be a bit of a crash movie when I started making it because there was some good racing this year but the majority of the exciting and memorable stuff that has occurred in the races I've been in have been gigantic pile-ups and crazy flips. People don't like to pass cleanly in most races and league events.

Which is one of the reasons why I play iRacing...
